Some people choose not to eat honey because it comes from bees, which are animals. Vegans avoid animal products, including honey, because they believe it’s important to treat all animals with kindness and not use their products. I understand this might seem a bit confusing. Personally, I don’t eat honey because I want to respect the bees and their hard work. It’s like sharing toys – we want to be kind to others, including the little bees buzzing around us. So, in the vegan world, honey isn’t considered vegan because it comes from our insect friends, the bees.
