Masters of the Night-Wind, the Night Kingdom & Capitano | Genshin Impact Lore and Speculation

The Masters of the Night-Wind are the most mysterious tribe, the Night Kingdom the most mysterious place and Capitano the most mysterious person (to me anyway) so I’ve done a deep dive into them all and how they could tie-in to each other with some findings I wasn’t expecting.

Hope you enjoy it!

  1. this is so crazy,
i’m hawaiian and in our culture we talk about the gods and how they’re related to the chiefs. There is this chief that is an ancestor to my family and his name is Maweke and he was in charge of taking care of one of the gods Kanaloa and kanaloa is the god of our versions of what seelies represent we refer to Kanaloa as “the ruler of all the creatures of the sea” which would be like the sea is the night kingdom and the seelies the creatures of the sea

  2. There is some possibility that nibelung WAS the pyro sovereign before leaving the world and coming back corrupted. Which would mean xbalanque killed nibelung with the sage using phlogiston/sacredflame to burn away the corruption in nibelung's corpse which possibly also resurrecting xbalanque. Theres also a number of people who have suggested the wayob are a collective consciousness of multiple souls. Theres also the close visual representation of a wayob and an inquisitor baptist meaning verdofnir could have used how wayobs are made to make a baptist. (maybe from khaenrian souls rather than natlan ones)

  3. Another amazing video from you! And nice catch on the Tezcatlipoca parallels! 😮

Though I still believe he is Kuntur, with your findings about Itztlacoliuhqui, and him being shot at by the Sun and Kuntur being a target of the Sun, could fit pretty well, but your take on the Capitano-Maui possibility is great too!

Or perhaps even Maghan, the fated Sovereign and dragon slayer, fits Capitano honestly, in the Flute of Ezpitzal, the girl who inherited the title of Holy Sovereign, I'm assuming says "The old pact shall be broken, and in its place you will establish a new one, bringing them true peace.", "Until the day we meet once more, my most loyal servant Dinga, dragon slayer and fated Sovereign Maghan.", this sounds close enough to what Capitano spoke about heralding a new age, and that the old must be destroyed, also the weapon is about Mictlan which of course is associated with the Masters of the Night Wind

Very excited about the next Archon Quest!
