So in this video, we will take a look at the potential characters who might be featured on that banner.

Okay, so there are plenty of characters who haven’t had a rerun in a long time. Some of them didn’t receive a single banner during the entire Fontaine cycle, which was very surprising. Here we are talking about them again in version 5.0. The Chronicled Wish in version 4.5 featured six 5-star characters and several 5-star weapons, like Eula, Albedo, and Song of Broken Pines, etc. Based on 4.5, we thought that this new banner would only appear in filler patches, since 4.5 was a filler patch. So, we expected the next chronicled wish banner to appear in 4.7, but that obviously didn’t happen, as we are now in version 5.0.

It’s now confirmed that Hoyoverse doesn’t necessarily give us the chronicled wish in every filler patch. Based on this, my theory is that we will get this banner only once per region. Fontaine featured the Mondstadt Special banner, and Natlan should feature the Liyue special banner. I don’t think we’ll ever get an Inazuma or Fontaine special banner, since there aren’t any standard characters from those regions. So, Snezhnaya will most likely feature the Sumeru special banner. But that’s too far in the future, so let’s focus on the next chronicled wish banner.

Before we start, let’s go over the rules of this newly added banner. Based on the rules of the Chronicled Wish, only limited characters who have had at least three banners and have not been featured in any recent Event Wish are eligible to appear. However, it’s still unclear how much time we’re talking about here.

Additionally, the new banner in 4.5 had a Mondstadt logo, so it might be a region-based banner. Therefore, it’s likely the next Chronicled Wish will feature characters from Liyue, and this has been confirmed by reliable sources. It’s also unclear whether archons can appear on this banner, but if they can, then Zhongli has a decent chance to be included.

Now, there are 3 characters who haven’t appeared in any of the banners in Fontaine: Shenhe, Ganyu, and Kokomi. And like I’ve said a thousand times, I don’t know why, but I think Hoyoverse has a personal issue with Cryo characters. First Eula, then Shenhe, and don’t forget about Wriothesley. Shenhe was released in version 2.4 back in 2022, and has had only one rerun in the second phase of 3.5, back in 2023. So it’s been 13 patches since her last banner, and there’s still no sign of her.

As I mentioned, Hoyoverse has already confirmed that only characters who have had at least 3 banners in the past can be featured on the Chronicled Wish—not 3 reruns, but 3 banners in total. Starting with the Liyue characters: despite being released in version 2.4, Shenhe has only had 2 banners so far, so she won’t appear in the next chronicled wish. The 5.3 Chronicled banner will probably feature Xiao, Ganyu, Childe, Keqing, and Qiqi, along with their signature weapons like Amos’ Bow, Aqua Simulacra, Jade Cutter, etc.

Inazuma doesn’t have any standard banner characters, so I’m not sure how they’ll handle that. But I’m guessing they’ll rotate the standard characters from other regions, or maybe they’ll put more limited characters on the Chronicled Wish as time goes on. That leaves us with Shenhe and Kokomi, and my guess is that they will be on the limited event wish banners, but again, that’s not confirmed yet.

These are just my speculations based on recent leaks, and I could be wrong. But let me know what you think about the Chronicled Wish banner in version 5.3.
