Exploring Liyue with a Cryo & Geo Crew:
Liyue, the land of contracts and jade, is a beautiful place to explore, but it’s also full of challenges! To make your journey smooth and fun, a team focused on Cryo and Geo elements is a great choice.
Here’s a team composition that combines the best of both elements for an amazing Liyue adventure:
- Main DPS: Ganyu (Cryo): Ganyu’s charged attacks are fantastic for dealing big damage. Her Cryo abilities also create a lot of Cryo shields, which are great for defense. Plus, her charged shots are perfect for taking down flying enemies!
- Sub-DPS/Support: Ningguang (Geo): Ningguang is an excellent Geo character who can both deal damage and control the battlefield. Her Jade Screen creates a barrier that can block enemy attacks and even provide a bit of damage reflection. Her elemental skill, Starsilver, throws out projectiles that can damage enemies, and her burst summons a giant jade screen that can deal massive damage and block enemy attacks.
- Support: Chongyun (Cryo): Chongyun’s elemental skill creates a Cryo field that turns your other characters’ attacks into Cryo attacks. This is helpful because you can use your other characters to deal Cryo damage even if they don’t normally have Cryo abilities. He’s also got a strong Cryo burst, which can freeze enemies solid!
- Healer/Support: Qiqi (Cryo): Qiqi is a great healer that also has a Cryo skill. This means she can both keep your team alive and contribute to your Cryo damage. Her elemental skill, "Icy Quills" is a useful AoE attack that can damage and slow down enemies. Her burst, "Pervading Frost," provides a powerful heal and a Cryo aura that can trigger Cryo reactions.

- Cryo Reactions: With Ganyu, Chongyun, and Qiqi on your team, you’ll be able to use Cryo reactions to your advantage. Cryo reactions are really powerful, especially when you combine Cryo with Geo. The most common reaction you’ll use is Shatter: When you freeze an enemy with Cryo and then break the freeze with Geo, the enemy takes extra damage.
- Geo Defenses: Ningguang and Chongyun can both create shields that will help protect your team. This is very useful when fighting enemies that deal a lot of damage.
- Variety in Attacks: The team uses a mix of ranged and close-range attacks, making it very versatile. You can take down enemies from a distance with Ganyu’s charged shots and Ningguang’s starsilver, while Chongyun and Qiqi can deal damage up close.
